How To Use (Or Not Use) Tinder

Downloading the Tinder dating app for the first time? Here’s all you need to know about how to use it.

Whether you love it or hate it, internet dating is the way of the future. The modern world is busy, sometimes under curfew, and occasionally those pubs and clubs are closed. Like it or not, meeting people through the power of the internet is the new normal.

With internet dating experiencing a real surge in the last two decades, it was only ever a matter of time before someone put that information into a handy-to-use app. That app was Tinder, and here’s all you need to know about using it…

What’s Tinder?

Tinder is a mobile application that operates as a dating profile for you. You download it from the App store of your choosing, you create a profile using your favourite photos of yourself, and you are ready to begin.

With Tinder, different dating profiles are placed on your feed. You then flick or scroll through the pages until you find a photo that catches your eye. You will be able to view your potential partners name, age, and any personal descriptions they have added to your profile. If you like someone’s profile, you swipe one way. If you don’t like them, you swipe another.

Tinder is the best new way to meet people in the online world. On the other hand, cheap escorts will date you, without all the fuss.

What do People Use Tinder For?

Both men and women use Tinder for hook-ups, dating, and even serious relationships. It is a great tool for the Poly community, who are often looking for third party members for their relationship. You can choose whether you are hetero, homosexual, or LGBTQ+. The system will recall your preferences and only show you matches within that category.

Arguably best of all, Tinder lets you choose potential sexual partners based on their location. There is no point in starting up a conversation with someone on the other side of the world and Tinder knows this. As a result, it allows you to custom your location so that you can choose where to look for other user’s form.

For example, you can set your search parameters to fall within 50 miles of your location. This lets you reach local matches and gives you a better chance of having more in common with your potential partner.

Should I Use Tinder?

If you are single and you want to meet someone, then do download and use Tinder. Custom dictates that you don’t use it if you are in a cis-het relationship. You should delete Tinder once you have found a partner or it could lead to potential arguments.
